The Brave: Why fans want more of NBC’s freshmen drama

The Brave ended tonight on a cliffhanger that left us in suspense. Tonight fans met a man from Patricia’s past who she was romantically involved with and someone she considers “radioactive.” Meanwhile, the team was tasked with finding a girl who hacked into a U.S. nuclear submarine and now has the codes. Dalton’s team had the job of finding her and bringing her home because she poses a threat to national security. Overall, the episode kept us engaged and definitely has us curious as to how this season will end.

The real interesting part about this show however, is the fans. During The Brave‘s first season run on NBC it was slowly gathered a very vocal group of fans who have taken to social media in inform NBC that they want more of the show. The show just returned and it’s already ending it’s first season. In other words, it’s shocking that it is already coming to an end. One concept this show has done a great job at is that the intensity of each mission the team is sent on increases with each episode. Every week fans tune in because of this. Each episode gets better and better while revealing something about one of the main characters. This could certainly be a reason fans want more of the show. Now we understand it’s too late to order more episodes for its freshmen season, but NBC has plenty of time to consider giving The Brave a second season.

As we have mentioned previously, NBC found a gem with this show and it definitely deserves a second season. Now we know the ratings aren’t the greatest, we still believe it deserves another chance partly because The Brave is going up against ABC’s The Good Doctor, which has been winning the 10 p.m. time slot. Perhaps NBC should consider moving it to a time slot where the show has the potential to compete with other shows that are bring in about the same ratings as it. However, this is easier said than done, but also not impossible. Just look at what happened with Timeless at the end of its first season. It worked for that show, so why not with The Brave?

The takeaway message here for fans is to keep tweeting/writing NBC and to keep this movement going. Networks want people to tune into their shows and if you want them to hear you, you have to keep voicing your opinions. and make sure that they hear you.
