Valor finale spoilers: Is Nora ready to come clean?

Valor ratings

Are you ready for the Valor finale to air on the CW next week? We certainly hope so, given that we are finally nearing the end of the road. It is a sad occasion in this case, mostly because of the fact that this show is probably going to be canceled by the time May rolls around. The ratings are not great, the reviews were mixed from the get-go, and while there are a devoted legion of fans out there who still support the show, it may not be enough. Let’s just hope that this one last episode offers up a chance to get closuer to many of the most important storylines.

Given that this is the finale, we are not altogether surprised that the network is keeping some details close to the vest. What CarterMatt can offer you for the time being is the official Valor finale synopsis courtesy of the CW:

SEASON FINALE – Nora (Christina Ochoa) is ready to confess despite the consequences. Meanwhile, Ian (Charlie Barnett) is blindsided by an evil truth. Matt Barr, W. Tre Davis, Nigel Thatch, Melissa Roxburgh and Corbin Reid also star. Josh Reims wrote the episode, directed by Gregory Prange (#113). Original airdate 1/29/2018.

At the end of this episode, maybe there will be something that suggests that Nora has a little bit of peace. After everything that she has been through this season and even before that, we do like to think that she deserves it. This episode is entitled “Spoils of War,” and you can read that both good and also bad. The positive connotation is that a spoil of war can sometimes be perceived as some sort of victory or something that you’re taking away from a given situation. However, just by virtue of the word itself war is terrible. There are enormous consequences that go along with it.

So why didn’t Valor pick up more steam over the course of this season? The biggest reason for that seems to just be that this is not the show that CW typically programs and most viewers didn’t respond to it. They tend to design things that are fantasy based or feature superheroes or other larger-than-life figures. Maybe if Valor had its start in a different network with a different tone, maybe it would have had more of a shot.
