Wynonna Earp season 3 production braves the Calgary cold; Melanie Scrofano’s first line

That gives you a sense as to what the cast and crew are working with right now — it’s also probably precisely what they want given the show’s overall setting and tone. While we can’t tell you much in terms of specific snowfall, temperatures in the Calgary area have been certainly below freezing as of late at night … and it’s about to get a little bit worse over the course of the coming week. Stay warm, everyone up there! We’re sure that they are probably pretty used to it at this point, but still.
Wynonna Earp season 3 production is going to continue in the area for many more weeks to come, and in that span of time the weather will change — just like the story also probably will for Wynonna and many of the other characters.

Wynonna, don’t ever change. Season 3 will bring her new struggles, including presumably her mother, but we don’t expect her to be all that different from the gun-toting demon-fighter we saw during the first two seasons. The main objective of season 3 is just to grow and expand this universe, while continuing to tell stories that are unique from the rest of the medium. We’ve already seen Wynonna Earp succeed in this many times over and we don’t anticipate it changing anytime soon. We wouldn’t ever want it to.
