Interested in some of the latest The Good Doctor casting spoilers? If so, the following should be music to your ears.
According to a new report coming in right now via TV Guide, Will Yun Lee of Hawaii Five-0 has been officially brought on board in a recurring role for the CBS series. As for his role, you’re going to have a chance to see Lee play the part of Alex Park starting in February. He is a very different sort of doctor than you’ve seen on the show to date, mostly because this is not how he first got his start. Prior to spending so much time in the medical field Alex was a cop. With that, he brings with him experience on reading people and understanding just what to do in especially-tough situations. It’s a skill set that could be very useful in ways that some characters ultimately do not expect.
As for how Alex Park fits in at the hospital, that is one of many good questions that we’re wondering at the moment. There are many new characters seemingly coming to the hospital (read about another one over at the link here), and by the end of the season we should get a good sense as to what the hospital will look like moving into the second season. What The Good Doctor seems to be doing at the moment is finding a way to smartly integrate a wide array of different characters in interesting, surprising ways. Who doesn’t want to continue to see a nice mixture of people and personalities? The ones that end up being the most popular could end up being the ones that stick around.
You’ll start to see more of the Alex Park character when The Good Doctor continues to air new episodes next month.
