The 100 season 5 spoilers: Shannon Kook playing super-mysterious role

William Miller

There are many things to be excited about when it comes to The 100 season 5, and you can probably go ahead and add Shannon Kook to the list. However, at the same time you’re going to be waiting for a little while longer to get some additional details.

According to a new report from Deadline, Kook (known for Degrassi in the midst of some other projects), is going to be making an appearance during the final episode of the season, but no firm details are specified about the role. With the way in which the character and the casting are being teased, we wonder if this is the sort of gig that is being set up for a far more substantial role down the line. For example, if The 100 does get renewed for a season 6, is Kook’s character someone we could end up seeing a whole lot more of? We certainly hope so.

Unfortunately, we are going to be waiting for a good while to see Shannon Kook on the series, let alone anyone else. Because of the show not starting off with new episodes until much later in the spring, this is a season that will not be officially wrapped in any form until we get around to the summer. We will have a little bit more news on the subject of The 100 before we get around to that point, so be sure to keep checking back.

The one thing that has been pretty-clearly confirmed across the board is this: The 100 season 5 is going to be very different than any of the others that came before it. It’s fairly hard for it not to be when you consider the massive time jump that will put many of these characters into very different places in their lives.
