Blue Bloods season 8 episode 13 video: Henry Reagan takes control!
Cariou’s Henry Reagan is front and center for this episode, largely because of him saving the life of a woman while at a convenience store. He was a key witness in an accident that happened there, and as a result of that he’s ready to lend whatever skill he can to ensuring that justice is served. In the process of that, he’s also going to troll Danny.
There are two things that make this sneak peek especially funny.
1. Henry is way more up to date on modern police-work than Danny thinks – Danny tries repeatedly in this episode to try and teach his grandfather about modern techniques, only to realize soon after this that Henry is already well-aware of most of them. Consider this one major surprise he runs into.
2. Henry and Baez teaming up – Baez seems to take great joy in having Henry around, mainly because this represents another opportunity to get under her partner’s skin. She relishes this opportunity, and as a result of that she chimes in frequently in this sneak peek and has a lot of fun with the situation.
Cariou seems to be having a lot of fun in this scene, as do Donnie Wahlberg and Marisa Ramirez. What this does show us more than anything is that variety in Blue Bloods really is the spice of life. Mixing things up a little bit does offer up much of the cast an opportunity to play around with a new sense of energy and enthusiasm. As a result of this, we feel like this is a different sort of Blue Bloods scene than we’re really accustomed to seeing.
