Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 11 to be key Miranda Bailey story

CarterMatt recently said that one of the things Grey’s Anatomy needed was a larger role for Miranda Bailey, and now Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 11 entitled “Don’t Fear the Reaper” seems to be bringing that wish to life. This is an episode that is, by and large, all about Chandra Wilson’s character struggling to maintain what is an increasingly difficult life coming at her in all directions.

Below, you can see a little more information within the Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 11 synopsis — it’s pretty clear that there is a lot of drama starting to take shape:

The stress of managing the hospital and coming to terms with Ben’s decision to become a Seattle firefighter pushes Bailey to her limits.

This episode looks to be incredibly dramatic, but knowing Bailey, there will probably be some fun moments scattered within here, as well. The thing to worry about the most is the state of her relationship with Ben. His decision to get training to become a firefighter without all that much in the way of discussion from her says something about where the two of them are. Even if he wasn’t changing professions, there’s a clear problem between the two of them in terms of their communication where he feels the need to get so far into a new career that it’s pretty impossible for her to say no to it.

As for trying to take care of a place like the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, that’s already such an enormous weight that it’s hard for her or anyone else to bear it. This is something that is going to be a tremendous source of stress on her just because it never really gets any easier. While there may be time in which the hospital makes more money or has things a little bit more stable, there are also going to be plenty of occasions in which things are careening out of control. There’s no real way to ever balance it just because things at the hospital never have a tendency to get better. Any relief is ultimately short-lived.
