Supergirl season 3 episode 11 preview: Yael Grobglas, Brit Morgan return

Supergirl season 3 episode 11

Moving into Supergirl season 3 episode 11 airing on The CW in one week’s time, we are getting a reminder of another familiar message: It takes a village. Supergirl, as powerful as she is, cannot hope to defeat Reign all by herself. It’s going to take a great deal of help, but luckily all signs point towards her getting that from a wide array of different sources.

Want some insight into what some of these sources could be? The title in part gives it away, but the Supergirl season 3 episode 11 synopsis below offers up a little more in the way of information:

SUPERGIRL TEAMS UP WITH SATURN GIRL, LIVEWIRE AND PSI – As Reign (Odette Annable) continues to terrorize the city, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Saturn Girl (guest star Amy Jackson), and the two recruit Supergirl’s former enemies, Livewire (guest star Brit Morgan) and Psi (guest star Yael Grobglas), to form a team for a mission to Fort Rozz to recover a prisoner who has information on how to defeat Reign once and for all. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) babysits Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay). Gregory Smith directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn (#311). Original airdate 1/22/18.

Why run the risk with Livewire and Psi? There may be a specific reason why Kara wants to bring them along, and that could be something we find out more about in this episode. We still love the idea of using villains for good; Grobglas and Morgan have both shown themselves to be very entertaining in these roles and beyond that, there’s also something very exciting about what feels almost like the National City version of the Suicide Squad. We just how that there’s another way to add another villain or two to the mix in the near future. Villains as heroes almost always equals great entertainment.

As for the story of Alex and Ruby, it does seem on the surface as though the show is charting its way towards Alex caring for her following whatever happens with Samantha/Reign this season. Is this almost too predictable? We wonder, if for no other reason than that this could be the show doing its best to throw us off the scent. Something different could always end up happening.
