Arrow season 6: New Colton Haynes photo signals at more Roy

Roy -

If you have been excited about Colton Haynes’ impending return to Arrow, we’ve got a feeling that the latest image released by the actor himself will be even more fuel to the metaphorical fire.

You can see the post from the actor’s own Instagram below, which features Haynes alongside such longtime series staples as Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, and Willa Holland, who plays Roy’s one-time love interest Thea Queen.

As for what is making Roy turn back up in Star City this time around, there is a reasonably good chance that it will be tied directly into the story going on at the moment. For starters, it’s possible that Team Arrow could use a little bit of help. While the “new” team members in Wild Dog, Black Canary, and Mr. Terrific are not leaving the show, they aren’t a part of the classic team at the moment and may be gone for a while. There are some serious trust issues there, and some of those are going to take a little bit of time in order to heal. That’s a rift that is probably not going to be patched together for some time. Team Arrow could use all of the help that they can possibly get trying to fend off some of the baddies that are coming their way, which include the likes of Cayden James, Black Siren, Ricardo Diaz, and Anatoly. While there isn’t a single Big Bad this season in Prometheus, the series has assembled a larger group of formidable foes. Maybe this ends up working effectively as we get further along in the season.

The challenge with Roy is always that he was at one point named as the original Arrow, so bringing him back is always difficult since it could cause some serious confusion for the people of Star City.
