The Flash season 4 video: Could Iris West go to jail for Barry Allen?
After all, this question is the one that blows up and spirals way out of control at the very end of the promo, where it seems as though she is ready to make a big move for the sake of her new husband. That could be presenting evidence that incriminates her. It makes sense to theorize this as a possible outcome, mostly because we know Iris to be such a selfless person. Obviously, she would do something like this if it meant helping the rest of the world.
Yet, Iris also recognizes that this isn’t the only possible way that she could manipulate the case in order to get her desired verdict. After all, she could also choose to do something a little bit different and bring to the court a big reveal: Barry is The Flash. If she does that, it certainly would be easy to excuse all of his behaviors.

The unfortunate thing for Barry and Iris about the situation that they are in at the moment is that they aren’t just fighting the courts here — they are also fighting The Mechanic. Marlize DeVoe is showing herself to be yet again quite the actress, and in court she’s the one holding most of the cards. The jury sees her as the sympathetic widow, yet in reality she knew that staging a murder and framing Barry for it was all a part of the plan. DeVoe simply has a new body now, and he’s off somewhere plotting his next move.
Yet, why is all of this happening? That’s one of the things that we still need to wait to figure out. The Flash season 4 does still have some mysteries up its sleeve.
