Criminal Minds season 13 spoilers: Supernatural actress Kim Rhodes to have arc

Kim Rhodes

While you wait to learn the fate of the Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisters, you are going to have a chance to see Kim Rhodes somewhere else rather exciting and that’s on Criminal Minds later this season!

CBS has confirmed that starting with the January 24 episode “Cure,” you are going to see Rhodes stop by in the role of Assistant Director Linda Barnes. As of right now she is credited with appearing four different times in season 13, so this is a chance to be introduced to the character and whatever it is that she is going to bring to the BAU. It is important that we get some new blood in there every now and then to shake things up; with that, we’re excited for whatever her part is going to be in the story ahead.

Unfortunately, the “Cure” synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below does not really give you much of a sense as to how Rhodes will be integrated into the story — instead, it just sets up what may very well be one of the creepier cases we’ve seen the team investigate this season:

“Cure” – The BAU is called to investigate a series of D.C. homicides where cryptic messages are found inside the mouths of each victim, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Jan. 24 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Could there really be an UnSub so disturbed that they are using the mouths of dead people in order to relay a message? It seems that way. This is someone who enjoys toying with the team and will stop at nothing in order to achieve whatever they want and torment the team twelve ways to Sunday. It should prove to be interesting seeing how the BAU tries to take this person on … if they even can, given that more than likely this person is going to throw up every roadblock possible in order to stop them.
