Wynonna Earp season 3: The first read-through is complete!
In a new post on Twitter, we have confirmation from showrunner Emily Andras that read-throughs are now underway featuring much of the cast — and, to go along with that, there are some strong emotional reactions that many within the cast had to what they read. The word “tears” should leave everyone nervous, but “cheers” is something we can’t wait for!
The question that you should be wondering after reading something like this is quite simple: What sort of tears are we talking about here? Are these happy tears of a milestone in someone’s life? Or, are these sad tears because of an unexpected tragedy? We know from the first two seasons that Wynonna Earp is capable of both. We could imagine tears coming courtesy of a reunion between Wynonna and her mother, just like we could also see it coming from a big development with Waverly and Nicole (hopefully a happy one). There are obviously many other possibilities out there – no one teases up a show quite like Andras does!
We’re gearing up now for the first week of Wynonna Earp season 3 filming, and not too long after that hopefully we’ll start to get some other news. It’d be great to get a good sense of what the producers are planning when it comes to casting — whether it by Wynonna’s mother or otherwise — at some point in the near future.

Unfortunately, at present there is still no Wynonna Earp season 3 premiere date — signs point to a premiere later this year, but the ball is really in Syfy’s court on that.
