NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 13 video: The search for Hetty begins
In the new sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, you can get a reasonably good sense as to some of what’s going to be coming up — both in terms of drama and also in terms of hope. The latter comes via the mere realization that Hetty is, in fact, still out there. Not only that, but the team is getting set to head to Vietnam in order to find her! Yet, is Shay Mosley standing in their way? There seems to be a little bit of miscommunication there.
Really from the get-go, one of the major themes of this season has been distrust of Mosley. While she has absolutely brought some of it on herself by acting a little bit contentious towards everyone, some of the other members of the team bear a certain degree of responsibility, as well. They could be more welcoming towards her, but it’s tough. They don’t like what she represents — a level of oversight that they are not used to and someone who often throws a wedge into the team doing what they’d like to. They also haven’t been altogether welcoming to Mosley when it comes to their time away from work, either.

Of course, Mosely hasn’t done herself any favors by thinking that she needs to be this tough super-boss who doesn’t like Christmas decorations and often keeps to herself in her office. Socially, both her and the remainder of the Los Angeles team have a lot of work to do if they want to cultivate and improve this relationship over time.
As for Hetty, let’s just say that this is shaping up to be one of the best episodes of the season as the entirety of the LA team goes on the hunt for her.
