As we lead into a new episode of The Blacklist season 5 on Wednesday night, who wants to check out some of the latest Martha Plimpton casting news?

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, you are going to see the Raising Hope alum guest star in an upcoming episode entitled “Mr. Raleigh Sinclair III.” Personally, we think that the name “Raleigh Sinclair III” sounds like someone who owns a mansion in North Carolina and claims that the city was named after him.

As for who Plimpton is playing during this episode, she’s got ties to the FBI. Her name is Dr. Sharon Friedman, and she could be one of the people responsible for determining whether or not Liz Keen is fit mentally to be out in the field following the death of Tom and her recovery. While we know Liz is capable of lying (and she has a pretty high body count following her at the moment), Dr. Friedman is going to show herself to be a difficult person to convince. She will be skeptical as to whether or not Liz is ready and it could take a little bit of time for Megan Boone’s character to win her over … provided, of course, that she ever does.

Personally, it feels fairly clear as to whether or not Liz is fit for duty — he’s really not giving her recent affinity for murdering people. She’s moving away from FBI agent into something a little more akin to vigilante. She’s taken on some of the qualities of Reddington, but we’d say that she has been even more violent as of late than he typically is. She wants revenge, but if the FBI or Friedman knew the truth about her actions they certainly wouldn’t want it to happen on their payroll.
