911 episode 3 preview: Tragedy strikes from within

Are you ready for 911 episode 3 to be the best episode of the show yet? While we cannot offer any guarantees about that at the moment, we can almost certainly say this: It’s going to be one of the best when it comes to creating interesting, crazy stories.

Bobby and his team respond to an emergency at a children’s birthday party that leaves lives hanging in the balance. The crew jumps into action after one of their own is involved in a devastating accident. Athena tries to cope with a tragedy that hits way too close to home and Abby is confronted with a life-changing decision for her mother and makes a connection with Buck in the all-new “Next Of Kin” episode of 9-1-1.

Clearly, the Fox series does like diving into some of the nitty-gritty of the story after a short period of time, don’t they? We do understand why executive producer Ryan Murphy and the rest of the team would want to do that. After all, 911 is the sort of show that really needs to get the momentum going early, mostly because if that doesn’t happen we could see viewers feeling like they’ve seen variations of this show in other places. The biggest thing that the writers need to do is rather simple, starting with coming up with the best story possible and giving all of them some rather-unique ways in which the show’s excellent cast to shine. We’re still rather shocked that Murphy somehow managed to get the combination of Peter Krause, Connie Britton, and Angela Bassett into the same place in order to work some of their magic.

So far, 911 is looking really great for Fox; we’ll probably know in a short period of time whether or not it is going to have a chance at getting a season 2.
