NCIS season 15 episode 13 return date: A surprising arrest

For those looking for the NCIS season 15 episode 13 return date after Tuesday night’s new episode, know this: The CBS series is coming back on Tuesday, January 23 with “Family Ties.”

“Family Ties” – After McGee and Torres visit the home of a high schooler who witnessed a hit and run, her parents, Christopher (Jamie Kaler) and Julie Bell (Gabrielle Carteris), flee with their daughter, leaving NCIS in the lurch. Also, Vance’s daughter is arrested for shoplifting, on NCIS, Tuesday, Jan. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Just in case you are wondering why in the world CBS is taking a brief hiatus to begin with next week, a big part of that simply has to do with one simple fact: This is the way in which the network often likes to do these sorts of things with their schedule, especially in January. They will air a new episode or two in January, and then following that, they will have an opportunity to air another. Then, they will then take another break following that. The only difference is that NCIS season 15 is going to be on a big longer hiatus than usual this season, with for no other reason than that there’s going to be the Olympics coming on NBC next month. CBS doesn’t want to counter-programming against that, so instead they are focusing on unscripted fare for that month before bouncing back and bringing some more new episodes of some of their longstanding favorites to the table in late February / early March. We’ll have an opportunity to talk more about that in due time.

For the time being, let’s focus on some of the main details that are coming up. It’s going to be tricky for the NCIS team to deal with parents who acted far different from what was anticipated. Beyond that, there’s also of course the issue here of Vance’s daughter getting arrested. This is a tough, emotional story for him to have to deal with; it’s a family issue to work out and unfortunately, he’s going to be subject to judgment because of it.
