Ink Master season 10: How will the Ink Master: Angels winners fare this season?

Ink Master season 9 finale video

Sparks, Rachel Helmich, Daniel Silva, and Deanna Smith. These are four of the most-noteworthy winners from Ink Master: Angels season 1 competing on Ink Master season 10, and all of them look to bring something interesting to the table.

Of the group, though, which one is the most likely to actually make it to the end of the competition? It’s always hard to gauge how someone will do before even seeing them in this environment, but we feel like we can already come up with a few different perspectives on this. Take a look below.

Rachel Helmich – She’s extremely experienced and has dealt with clients everywhere from Hawaii to the East Coast. The biggest thing that she has going for her is that she’s probably done almost every style at one point or another and knows how to battle back against adversity. While she didn’t do our favorite tattoos on Ink Master: Angels season 1, her experience makes her a solid choice entering the new season.

Daniel Silva – Artistically, Daniel is the guy with easily the highest ceiling of the four. This is a guy who beat Ryan Ashley Malarkey in his Angel Face-Off and has shown that he can apply his brand of artistry to this competition. The fear with Daniel is that he hasn’t really been pushed beyond his own artistic comfort zone and that his lack of experience will come back to bite him before too long.

Deanna Smith – Like Daniel, you could argue that she doesn’t have enough tattooing experience to be a force in this competition. Yet, she did deliver some very good art in her episode, and we do think that she’s fairly grounded in terms of her knowledge of styles. We wouldn’t label her a pre-show favorite by any means, but she’s a darkhorse contender worth watching.

Sparks – Finally, we turn to the artist who probably has the best overall chance of winning of all the Ink Master: Angels winners. Not only did he deliver really great work in his episode, but he’s also experienced and seems to have the personality of many other winners — to be specific, he’s cocky. It may get him in trouble every now and then, but if he can back up his work (and he can), there are signs he will go really far.

Remember that Ink Master season 10 premieres on Spike Tuesday, January 9 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern — the network will change names to the Paramount Network during the season.
