Golden Globes 2018 winners list: Live updates

Globes -

If you’ve been looking for a full Golden Globes 2018 winners’ list, you’ve come to the right place! Over the course of the night we’ll be giving you additional analysis about some of the biggest TV winners of the night, along with potentially some other analysis to go along with it.

Who are some of the Golden Globes 2018 winners — at least the TV-related ones? You’ll be seeing many of them here as the night goes on! Be sure to refresh the page throughout as more and more names are officially revealed. We’ll also have a little bit of analysis to go along with it. (We try to make this different than the rest of the lists out there.)

Actress, Limited Series / Movie – Nicole Kidman, Big Little Lies. This is her fourth overall Golden Globe win, and her victory was far from a shock. She gave a powerful speech in which she celebrated “the power of women,” while also passing along an incredibly sweet message to her husband Keith Urban for all of his ongoing support.

Actress, Comedy – Rachel Brosnahan, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This was not a win we necessarily saw coming, even though we really should have. It’s a bright, energetic, but also meaningful show about someone striking out to have a career at a moment when there weren’t often opportunities for women to do. It’s the perfect series for 2018.

Actress, Drama – Elisabeth Moss, The Handmaid’s Tale. Congratulations to Moss! You could almost feel that she had won this the moment that everyone started to cheer in the room. She chose to allow Margaret Atwood’s own words create an enormous emotional impact.

Actor, Drama – Sterling K. Brown, This Is Us. After a relatively big surprise with Brosnahan, we’re now back in familiar territory. Brown, like Moss before him, was expected to win the award. We did especially love his speech, where he recognized creator Dan Fogelman for playing a powerful role that only a black man could play.

Drama Series – The Handmaid’s Tale. Like we said, there is no surprise here at all. It’s a worthy show, and it could sweep awards season the next time the show is on.

Supporting Actor – Alexander Skarsgard, Big Little Lies. Ever since playing Eric Northman on True Blood he’s forged a rather lovely career for himself. Perry was his finest role to date and he is certainly a worthy winner.

Comedy Actor – Aziz Ansari, Master of None. This was charming! Clearly Ansari did not think he was going to win and came on stage completely unprepared. For the record, Aziz — we picked you to win earlier in the day.

Comedy Series – The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Once we got to see Brosnahan win, the victory here felt pretty clear.

Supporting Actress – Laura Dern, Big Little Lies. Tremendous speech. Totally expected winner.

Limited Series / Movie – Big Little Lies. Once more, HBO wins big.
