Golden Globes 2018 start time, network, red carpet live stream, more

Golden Globes 2018

In just a matter of hours, one of the biggest awards shows on TV is going to be back on the air. Are you ready to see it? We know that everyone here at CarterMatt is excited!

If you are looking for the Golden Globes 2018 start time, plus information on the network, red-carpet live stream info, and more, you are in the right spot!

Let’s start things off with when you can start preparing for the show. The official red carpet live stream beings at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time (or 3:00 p.m. in Los Angeles) over on the official Golden Globes Facebook. Be sure to get a little bit more information about that if you’re interested in checking it out. There are a number of big-name stars who will be walking the red carpet, and hopefully there will be some insightful, interesting interviews that we get to see with many of them. This is certainly going to be a very different sort of red carpet this year; many of the actresses walking this year are planning to wear black in solidarity over the sexual misconduct revelations over the past several months. Be prepared for one of the biggest discussion points of the night to be women speaking out and supporting one another. It’s high time that Hollywood was purged of some of its old, terrible habits; to reference a recent legal defense fund, is it fair to say that Time’s Up?

For those of you who prefer to watch the Golden Globes red carpet on television, rest assured that you can also do that on E!. That show also begins at 6:00 p.m. Eastern, for those curious.

The Golden Globes 2018 itself

The show starts on NBC at 8:00 p.m. Eastern and is hosted by Seth Meyers. Typically the show runs for around three hours, but with the politically and socially-charged nature of the night don’t be surprised if some speeches run a little bit long and it goes past 11:00.

For anyone who wants even more reaction to the Globes, there will be an after show streaming live on Twitter starting at 11:00 p.m. Eastern. Basically, the folks over at the Globes want to give you as many different ways as possible to be involved in the experience.
