The Librarians season 4 episode 8 preview: Did Cassandra ruin ‘The Safest Town in America’?
So what’s specifically coming up? Well, The Librarians season 4 episode 8, which carries with it the title of “And the Hidden Sanctuary,” is going to prove that not all that glitters is gold.
For a little bit more insight on that, the synopsis below is the perfect guide:
“After Cassandra freezes up during a mission, she decides it’s past time to go on a vacation. Searching for her ideal town, she lands on Havenport, the “Safest Town in America.” At first blush, it seems just what she needed, but is there always a price to pay for unrealistic peace of mind?”
The first thing we have to do here is offer up some credit to the writers for the name “Havenport.” This sounds almost exactly like the sort of wannabe Utopia that Cassandra would want to venture to. As the promo below reveals, this is a place that has gone 10,000 days without anything going awry. However, the moment that Cassandra arrives things very quickly change — and most of the people in the town quickly turn against her.
Could Cassandra end up having a very different experience in this town than she ever imagined. We almost wonder if being in this town could, in turn, allow her to get her mojo back because she ends up finding a way to turn some of her troubles around. It isolates her somewhat and forces her to think a little bit more on her feet. For some people, being faced with this sort of a challenge can be very much a good thing — we all need to be forced to think outside of the box every now and then.
At this point with The Librarians season 3, we’re also doing our part to try and soak up and enjoy every episode that we can. With the future still slightly uncertain, that’s more of an imperative now than ever.
