Billions season 3 premiere date and trailer released at Showtime

Billions season 3

If you find yourselves interested in learning everything there is to know about the future of Showtime’s Billionsyou are in the right spot. Today thanks to the TCA Winter Press Tour, the network revealed all sorts of details about the Paul Giamatti – Damian Lewis series.

When will the Billions season 3 premiere date be? Think in terms of Sunday, March 25 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Season 3 is going to find itself in reasonably familiar territory; after all, much of the heart of this story revolves around the characters of Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) and Bobby Axelrod (Lewis) going toe to toe with one another. They’re two titans in their field who are both desperate and intent on making sure that the other party does not get what they want. The tension between the two of them is in part what makes the series so great. Yet, there are a number of other great characters who play a big role in the story and there will be some new, unexpected forces that collide with both of these characters as the story moves forward.

As for whether or not that will last, it needs to — it’s imperative to keep the Chuck – Axe drama going if the show wants to stay afloat.

The Billions season 3 cast

Joining the likes of Giamatti and Lewis this time around are Malin Akerman, Maggie Siff, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Asia Kate Dillon and Jeffrey DeMunn. It’s a pretty great list of names, and you get to add Clancy Brown to it this year as a recurring guest star. It’s hard to imagine someone being a more perfect fit for this show in terms of their tone, their personality, and their swagger. We’ve got every reason in the world to think that he’s going to kill it.

As for the Billions season 3 trailer…

You can check that out by heading over to the link here! (Note that there is some strong language in there; after all, this is Showtime!) One thing we will say is that Wendy and Chuck in each other’s orbit again, things are about to get interesting.

In general, though, Billions season 3 could do a lot in order to help a series that feels very much on the brink. Over the past several years we’ve seen this show improve steadily into becoming one of TV’s best dramas, but it still needs to do something more. It isn’t getting people talking yet as much as it could. Hopefully, all this building to war between Chuck and Axe ends up paying off in the best way possible.
