The Bachelor spotlight: Meet Tia Booth from Weiner, Arkansas — Raven Gates’ friend

There are a couple of things interesting about Tia Booth on The Bachelor this season, and they start with her hometown of Weiner, Arkansas. That’s obvious a ridiculous name and we wouldn’t be shocked if she got a hometown date just so that we get to see this weird and wonderful place on the show this season. This is a tiny town with only about 700 residents! Basically, Tia is the sort of contestant that The Bachelor loves and there’s a pretty good chance that we’re going to see her eventually on either Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette.

It also helps that Tia has a close friendship with Raven Gates, a woman who probably would have been the last Bachelorette were it not for her being on the same season as Rachel Lindsay. Tia seems to like being outdoors, shooting guns, and doing some of the stuff you would expect to see on for a contestant on the show.

Probably the one thing that surprises us is this: With her potential equity in this franchise and her pretty-famous friend, it’s interesting that Tia seems to be more publicity-shy than most other contestants this season. Her Twitter account is apparently deactivated and her Instagram is set to private. Maybe she’s just waiting for the season to start, or maybe she’s really not into all of the attention.

Aside from her connections to the franchise Tia works as a physical therapist, she loves the city of Chicago / all of the food there, and she’s already setting herself up really well to be an ABC brand ambassador — after all, she’s someone who name-drops both Scandal and Shark Tank within a few lines of her bio. (Remember when almost every person on The Bachelor was claiming that they aspired to be Olivia Pope? We’re not sure we’d do that based on what she’s been up to on

Will Arie Luyendyk Jr. like her? – Probably. Tia is a contender to win the whole thing just based on her name value in the franchise plus also the fact that people in Tia’s neck of the woods tend to be racing fans. She’ll probably get along with him. If she doesn’t win, we feel like this is far from the last time we’ll see her tied to this franchise.
