Arrow season 6 episode 10 spoilers: Does Cayden James have a secret?

Arrow season 6 video

When Arrow season 6 episode 10 airs on The CW on Thursday, January 18, you are going to see a number of important reveals, including a big one that is tied to Cayden James.

The network released the full synopsis for this episode and CarterMatt has that for you below:

“OLIVER DISCOVERS A SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT CAYDEN JAMES — Despite losing half his team, Oliver (Stephen Amell) remains confident that he, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) can stop Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson) and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy). However, when he discovers one of Cayden’s secrets, he decides to team up with an unlikely ally. Meanwhile, Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) spends time with Vince (guest star Johann Urb). James Bamford directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#610). Original airdate 1/18/2018.”

One of the real struggles for Oliver in the second part of this season is going to be figuring out just how connected many of these villains are to one another. At the end of the midseason finale it was revealed that they were all working together in some capacity, which is notable since you’ve got a team of villains effectively squaring off against a team of heroes. Given that Oliver doesn’t have a full team anymore — he is really back to just himself, Felicity, and Diggle — this is going to be a tough hill for him to climb.

Rene, Dinah, and Curtis are all still main characters on the show, so don’t expect for them to be gone just because they aren’t around Oliver. Seeing Dinah with Vince is actually rather dangerous given his alter ego of Vigilante — while we know that she’s not him, you don’t want to run the risk of her adopting anywhere near the same sort of ideology that he has. She’s already angry about being lied to and treated as though she is somehow less than the great Original Team Arrow.

Our hope is that this episode does spend most of its time developing the villains — we like most of the individual characters, but the connections between most of them are so weak that this whole Arrow version of the Legion of Doom doesn’t quite fit the tone of the show.
