Better Call Saul season 4 casting dogs — this could be fun
Consider this the Better Call Saul casting news we did not anticipate seeing leading up to filming kicking off in the new year in New Mexico.
According to a new report coming in from local affiliate KOAT in Albuquerque, the AMC series is going to be looking for large golden retriever, lab, springer spaniel, German shepherd, or Australian collie/shepherd dogs to be a part of the upcoming fourth season. That doesn’t give a whole lot away as to the story of the show, but apparently an early episode of the fourth season will feature animals in some capacity.
If there is any one hint that you can take away from this report, it’s that Better Call Saul does often feature a vet clinic with Caldera running it. He’s at the center of some of the criminal enterprises on the show so, presumably, getting dogs on board the show may just be a way to set the table for whatever an upcoming scene is going to look like with him. This is, of course, assuming that the vet clinic is coming back on the show. It’s not like dogs only exist in vet clinics and nowhere else in the world. There are plenty of other places in which we could end up seeing the animals and we’re excited for that to play out.
Alas, you are still going to be waiting for a long time to see it actually play out, given that Better Call Saul season 4 is currently not slated to premiere until the fall of 2018. There may be some other casting announcements here and there over the coming weeks, but we don’t quite think that AMC is going to heavily publicize any of them. This is a show that doesn’t benefit from being heavily spoiled — we don’t exactly think that knowing about dogs qualifies as that much of a spoiler. With that, we’re fine with passing that along.

Well, one thing I’d like to see would involve Kim Wexler. I think I’ll stop there.
