Blue Bloods season 8 episode 13 spoilers: A big Henry Reagan story ahead

Blue Bloods season 8

Blue Bloods season 8 episode 13 is going to offer up a chance to do something that is rather rare for the CBS series these days: Shining a light on the Henry Reagan character. While Len Cariou may be a series regular, the vast majority of his scenes are relegated to him sitting at the family dinner table and shedding some light on the way things used to be done at the NYPD. He is a source of tremendous wisdom, but often does not offer too much else to the show’s narrative … save for an episode or two during a season.

Blue Bloods season 8 episode 13 is one of these said opportunities. “Erasing History” is going to bring Henry away from the dinner table and into the thick of story as he becomes the key witness for a case Danny is working on. It’s not exactly unusual for Donnie Wahlberg’s character to be at odds with some of his family members over the way that things are being done with a case, so don’t be all that shocked to hear about these two going toe-to-toe here.

CarterMatt has a little more news on the subject of the Henry story and so much more courtesy of the Blue Bloods season 8 episode 13 synopsis:

“Erasing History” – When Henry is the key witness on Danny and Baez’s case, his meddling pushes Danny’s buttons until he leads them to valuable information. Also, Nicky shocks her family by siding with her activist friend, Chrissie (Naian González Norvind), who defaced the NYPD flag at One Police Plaza, and Jamie and Eddie learn a parole officer is taking advantage of his power over parolees, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Jan. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Beyond the Henry story it’s somewhat unusual to see Nicky have a significant storyline for the second week in a row. We’ve already reported that season 8 episode 12 is going to feature her in a story revolving around the police exam — she’s going to be thinking about becoming a part of the police department, but that seems like more of a lost cause if she ends up siding against their flag being defaced. While activism is a very common and important things these days, the NYPD is often a place where unity is required in order to get the job done. The flag means a lot to them in the same way that the American flag does the majority of the country.
