The Bachelor spotlight: Meet Krystal Nielson, fitness coach
As for what she brings to the show this season there are a few different things, with the biggest one being simply a lot of energy and drive to make a name for herself. This is someone who’s done a lot of different things over the course of her career to date — she’s conducted interviews (check out the video below for a reel on that), radio hosting, and then you have her current gig trying to make people feel better about themselves. She seems like the sort of person who could try to offer advice to some of the other women only to have it blow up in her face. Hopefully she doesn’t lean too heavily into the fitness curve right away because if she does, she could be sent home right away.
Krystal is entering The Bachelor with some sort of established platform — she’s got more than 30,000 followers on Instagram already. Given her job, most of the photos over there are exactly what you would expect all things considered. She’s going to promote her fitness career there just like she may try to on the show. We’re fine with that; the only thing we find somewhat irritating is the zero effort she put into creating an interesting bio over on the ABC site. She loves puppies and unicorns and hates spiders — she’s also a good cook. Big revelations there! It is interesting that she’s originally from Montana, but she seems to be spending most of her time now in the greater Los Angeles area.
What are her chances with Arie Luyendyk Jr.? – We just don’t see it. While Arie clearly wants some degree of fame by being the star of this show, he also seemingly doesn’t want enough that he’s spent a ton of time in Los Angeles over the past year or two hanging out with would-be celebrities. We don’t think that he’s necessarily looking for someone with an entertainment career for a wife, though he did have that brief relationship with Courtney Robertson. We could see him and Krystal getting along, but more as a friendship than a relationship. It’s hard to see anything romantic here since their personalities are almost both too alpha for their own good.
