The Bachelor spotlight: Meet Kendall Long, taxidermy collector and ukulele player
The big difference between Kendall and Ashley Salter is that Kendall actually does have a little more experience in the entertainment business than you would first assume. For starters, she’s already worked on a few different shows as a set dresser including Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. It also looks like she’s done some celebrity interviews in the past — she’s not seeking the red-carpet interviewer gig now quite like Jessica Carroll is, but it is a part of what she brings to the show.
You can see some of Kendall’s personality over on Instagram and we feel like no matter how long she lasts, there are probably going to be some people out there who like her. She’s just got that sort of personality where you want to understand her point of view — even though taxidermy may not be everyone’s cup of tea. How will she fare on this season? – Kendall lists her job as creative director, and what’s probably smart about the way that she’s approaching the show is that, whether true or not, it doesn’t look like she’s there strictly for fame. She’s a little more low-key about her entertainment past than some other contestants and that will help to cool off some of the possible red flags. We’re not entirely sure that Arie will be all that into the taxidermy or that he loves the ukulele, but we know he likes blondes given his past with Emily Maynard; also, Kendall stands out from the field. There aren’t many other people on this season with her specific set of interests. We don’t think that she’s going to win this show by any means, but there’s a reasonably good chance that she will make it fairly far and be a character who ends up getting to be on another edition of the show. We don’t want to go so far as to say she’s a Bachelorette contender, but it’s at least a possibility if her quirkiness ends up being appealing to viewers.
