Knightfall episode 4 preview: Marriage plots and betrayals

Knightfall episode 6

Knightfall episode 4 is coming onto History Wednesday night after Vikings, and as we get closer to this episode airing it feels as though one thing: Princess Isabella is going to be key to the story coming up. She’s “of age” (as per the time period of the series), and she wants nothing more to be married. Yet, at the same time she quickly discovers that there’s a distinct difference between wanting to be married and then actually having a choice as to who you want to marry. Even though this is clearly a situation we’ve heard discussed many a time over in the history books, it feels different when you attach a name to the problem. Isabella is that name. You want to believe in her but there are roadblocks thrown her way by both her father and also society at large, who seems very much intent on putting her on a very specific path.

In the video below, actress Sabrina Bartlett does her part to explain some of the situation that Isabella finds herself in, with the Prince of Catalonia on one side and the Prince of England on the other. Unfortunately, she herself is a form of currency for various kingdoms to use however they see fit. They can use her in order to build alliances or enforce their own reach as a kingdom. It’s an unfortunate, terrible situation for her to be in, but it doesn’t seem (at least for now) as though she has too much in the way of control.

If you look below, CarterMatt has for you the Knightfall episode 4 synopsis:

A pagan helps Landry search his past; Gawain conducts a murder investigation; Princess Isabella is betrayed.

The promo below is a little more insightful in the sense of offering up a wide array of different details as to what to expect from some of the other characters in this story. We’re at a pivotal point now where Knightfall needs to gain momentum. While it’s been great so far, there is more work that still needs to be done.
