When is Killjoys season 4 filming taking place?

Killjoys season 4Earlier this summer, the news of a Killjoys season 4 was first confirmed over at Syfy. Beyond that, though, there hasn’t been all that much to share just yet on the first half of the show’s journey to its series finale.

Why is that? Well, a big part of it has to deal with the sole fact that the series is currently in the process of writing its story and getting things together before production. (Well, technically as of right now most people are on Christmas break … but you know what we’re saying.) It takes a little bit of time in order to formulate everything so that filming can run as smoothly as possible.

Based on a new post on Twitter from actor Thom Allison, filming looks to start for Killjoys season 4 in the new year — presumably sooner rather than later given the plan is for season 4 to air in 2018. If the series wants to continue to have new episodes on the air in the summer, it benefits them to get back to work early on new episodes. As for the story itself, it’s almost better off if much of it is a mystery, right? A big part of what makes a show like Killjoys so exciting is the creativity and element of surprise. You don’t want to get all of that sapped away, given that what you’re left with is a show that is missing a crucial part of its DNA.

Once there are some more updates to report on with Killjoys, we’ll be sure to let you know — given that the final season is now confirmed, though, there is a little less of a pressing need to try and expand outward the audience … unless of course you just want to see the show end on as high of a note as possible. That would be nice, right? We’ve said this before, but it would be nice if both this show and also Wynonna Earp could find a way to gravitate somewhere else other than their typical Friday night timeslot.
