The X-Files season 11 video: Gillian Anderson offers up smallest of teases

X-Files season 11 spoilersThe premiere of The X-Files season 11 is going to be here just one week from Wednesday, and in an effort to set up this story more we’ve got a video featuring someone with a rather significant role to play in the story ahead: Gillian Anderson. Of course, saying this is one of the most obvious things ever. OF COURSE Anderson is going to have a huge role to play in the story! That’s like saying that dinosaurs were kind of a big deal in Jurassic Park.

The main significance of this promo is to cause you to venture somewhere and try to do as much frame by frame analysis as possible. Anderson presents a number of images that blow by in just a split second, leaving you to wonder what they are. We’ve managed to figure out some of them — obviously, stop reading now if you don’t want to know anything at all in terms of some of what is coming on the upcoming season of the show.

1. Monica Reyes pointing a gun at Skinner – What in the world is going on here? We obviously wanted to get Annabeth Gish back on the show this seas, but like this? Color us nervous for whatever could be coming up…

2. A phone bearing Jeffrey Spender’s name – The son of the Cigarrete Smoking Man has quite the role to play.

3. Mulder being attacked – Obviously, he’s going to survive the first episode (presumably). What hyappens after this is going to be one of the real mysteries that we are the most excited to see coming up.

4. There’s a car outside of some sort of government building – What are they doing there?

5. Someone is getting injected – In the world of The X-Files, having a needle put into you can mean a wide array of different things.

No matter what some of these individual images may mean, the good news here is clearly that you’re not going to have to wait too much longer for some answers.
