Hawaii Five-0 notes: New Alex O’Loughlin photo; holiday greetings
For one, how about some more Hawaii watersports thrown into the show? We know that there are plenty of people who love Hawaii Five-0 when you see some of the characters out in the elements, and many of those people are probably going to love what’s coming for McGarrett and Tani on the upcoming January 12 episode of the series. The image above is one of the first ones that we have for what’s coming.
While this image does not exactly show off too much in terms of the story for the episode, this does serve two different purposes.
1. Showing the progression of Tani and Steve’s friendship – Unless this is some sort of undercover mission (probably the most entertaining undercover mission ever), this is yet another reminder that having close bonds is essential to having the strongest team possible. Steve knows that in the heat of the moment, you need to rely on some of your friends in order to survive.
2. Showing that life for these characters is still very active – Even in the colder months (is it ever really that cold at the beach?), Steve and some of the other characters are still going to find a way to hit the waves and live their most active lives.
This January 12 episode isn’t all going to be fun and games; as a matter of fact, we know that there is a Grover-centric part of the story that is touching on some very serious topics. You can read more about that by heading over to the link here.
A holiday greeting
You gotta love the Hawaii Five-0 crew for getting Alex O’Loughlin, Meaghan Rath, Jorge Garcia, and Beulah Koale to pass along some holiday well-wishes while on the show’s set. (It’s possible that Scott Caan and others may just not have been on set that day.) We love it when shows do the little things like this — it’s a reminder that they care about the viewers more so than people who just watch in order to keep them employed.
The importance of these sort of videos is actually something we discuss further at the link here through the lens of another show in Outlander. It’s all about the building of a fandom.
