Shameless season 8 episode 8 video: Fiona’s new place

Shameless season 8

Is Shameless new tonight on Showtime? After getting such a steady run the past few episodes it’s very understandable to want more of the show.

Unfortunately, we’re not going to get any more stories from the Gallagher family for one more week, and there’s a perfectly good reason for it. Tonight is Christmas Eve! It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for them to put an episode of the show on the air when there aren’t going to be a whole lot people around to watch it. While we understand that Showtime isn’t a network altogether reliant on live viewership, they’re not crazy. They definitely still want people to check out and enjoy all of their shows live. If an episode were to air on the day before Christmas, it’d make it that much harder to seek out viewers to remind them of it.

With all of this being said, we do think that Showtime is taking a big gamble next week, when they are airing an episode on New Year’s Eve. We don’t think many members of the Gallagher family would ever spend their New Year’s Eve sitting around and watching television.

While you do wait for some more news episodes to come on the air, we present for you the latest promo below! One of the storylines at the center of the upcoming hour seems to be Frank’s new operation, which involves him trafficking people to Canada, a place where apparently there’s less racism and prospective immigrants can be happier. Meanwhile, Ian is going to take a stand and Fiona will finally get a place of her own separate from her family … but is it really a place of her own? The end of the preview will make you wonder.

Shameless season 8 episode 8 overall looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, and we have to imagine that it will be worth the long wait.
