LuAnn de Lesseps arrested; Real Housewives of New York City star accused of attacking police officer
According to a report from TMZ, the reality star has been charged with multiple crimes following the incident, including battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and two separate counts of corruption by threat. That’s a lot of charges following an incident right before Christmas. She has been released, but is due back in court in January to discuss the case further.
2017 was not the easiest of years for LuAnn de Lesseps, given that earlier this summer she split from Tom D’Agostino, her husband who she married last year in Florida. She’s had that split play out in the press, and this comes after a pretty tumultuous season of the aforementioned show where her relationship was questioned many times over. Since the divorce filing she’s probably been forced to deal with a number of naysayers who take pleasure, unfortunately, in her distress. She still has to be in control of her actions, though, and these accusations are both very unfortunate and frankly sad. The fact that the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York City is currently filming could make this even more of a low point for her, since obviously this will be a subject of conversation both during the season and after the fact. Maybe it could serve as a wakeup call for her, as these charges suggest that she is in need of one.
