Hawaii Five-0’s own Eddie the Dog has his own Instagram account
Apparently, one of the hidden gifts of this season that we hadn’t quite seen before today was that the beloved dog has himself an Instagram, one with already 3,000 followers and a series of fun behind-the-scenes photos from the show set. He’s also got a lot of holiday-related photos, and you can see some of those at the bottom of this article. After all, what better way is there to ring in the holidays than by seeing a number of cute dog pictures?
Eddie’s popularity on Hawaii Five-0 season 8 is something that was inevitable almost from the moment that he first came on board — America loves dogs, and America loves dogs even more when they are owned by Steve McGarrett. Hawaii Five-0 loves Eddie so much that he’s front and center for the promotional photo above, and some of our most-popular articles on the site have been about him.
As you may know, Eddie will be back out in the field early on in the new year — part of the fun of the show for us is going to be seeing all of the ways in which the writers can put having him around to use. For one, it makes some sense for there to be a trained dog working with the Five-0 team; beyond that, it allows the show to have another established character that they can go to here and there. Dogs are characters too! Plus, having it be a familiar dog rather than some random one brought in for a drug-sniffing scene adds that much more to every episode.
