Blindspot season 3 fall finale: A shock Weller reveal
The first order of business tonight was getting most of Jane’s crew on board with the idea of actually wanting to take this character out. Beyond that, the mission then became about trying to find a way for the “FBI” boss to actually be taken down. There were some moments that were very touch and go throughout the episode, including one where Reade found himself a hostage. Yet, Jane and Weller arrived in time to save him and arrest Hirst rather than kill her.
The bigger question when it comes to Hirst is rather clear: Who was she working for? We learned tonight that there is someone else higher up on the board, and that’s someone she gets some of her answers from. That’s another mystery for the next chapter.
Meanwhile, the story of Roman and Blake escalated as the two worked to figure out what their own future is. For the time being, it seems as though he is willing to work for Blake’s father for the time being. Is it going to stay that way forever? We doubt it.
At the end of the episode
Roman gave Weller an important message: For the time being he is in the clear. That was good news for Weller and he could’ve kept his secret from Jane a while longer.
Yet, he decided not to and dropped the biggest bomb of the season to date: He killed Jane’s daughter. This big surprise for her in her life has now been officially wiped off of the board.
Overall, the Blindspot season 3 fall finale had plenty of great moments, whether it be the final rescue mission with Hirst and Reade and also seeing Rich Dotcom refuse to hand over the team when Hirst offered her a deal.
