Blue Bloods season 8 episode 12 spoilers: Who is getting shot?

“The Brave” – After Anthony is shot while interviewing a witness for an upcoming murder trial, Erin enlists Anthony’s archenemy, Danny, to find out who was responsible. Also, Jamie and Eddie get in the middle of a standoff between a police lieutenant and a developmentally disabled man posing as an officer, and Nicky prepares to take the police exam, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Jan. 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
There are a few different ways to look at this episode:
Anthony’s shooting – This is obviously a huge deal, but we figure that there is going to be something rather fun that comes out of getting a chance to see precisely what happens when Danny ends up being his savior. This is not someone Anthony is used to relying on, but he could actually be someone who makes his life significantly better. We’re just assuming that Anthony survives, mostly because we love the character and want to see him make it through in one piece. There’s been enough death on Blue Bloods this season already for our liking.
Jamie and Eddie’s standoff – It’s nice to see that they’re both going to be featured in Blue Bloods season 8 episode 12, and it feels like this is going to be your significant moral dilemma of the week. Typically this is the storyline Frank has, but who knows? Maybe he’ll get involved. It’s actually somewhat of a surprise that Frank is not mentioned in the synopsis at all.
Nicky and the police exam – Does this mean that there’s another generation of Reagan getting set to work for the NYPD? We can’t say that we’re altogether surprised by this, but we do wonder if this will lead into a storyline where Nicky is featured a little more often.
