Kim Richards leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, at least for this season
Speaking in a new interview with People Magazine, Kyle Richards confirmed that her sister is not going to be turning up on the show this season. Kim is happy and sober, and seems to be enjoying her life as a grandmother:
“She’s with her grandchild almost every day … I see her with him and I’m like, ‘Okay you’re good. You’re so happy.’”
In all honesty if we were Kim, we’re not sure we would feel the need to ever grace Real Housewives of Beverly Hills other than to turn up once in a blue moon and show everyone how awesome she was doing. This is not a show that has been altogether kind to her over the years thanks to numerous arguments and co-stars who find the need to gossip about her to no end. While we know that the show allows for a great deal of fame, we do think at a certain point it becomes clear that fame doesn’t buy happiness. Being around the people you love does. Kim certainly doesn’t need money at this point so why not just go off and live a happy life? Let some of the other people on this show deal with all of the drama.
Granted, it may be hard for Kim Richards to completely distance herself from the series if her sister Kyle is still around. These two women have been a part of the show every single season and at one point or another, there are always questions surrounding how Kim is doing anytime that Kyle takes part in this. Maybe this season it will be a little more on the down-low, but that is not some indication that everyone will suddenly be silent just because Kim is absent.
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills begin airing on Bravo come December 19 — that’s right, there is some new programming coming on close to the Christmas holiday. Hopefully, this will fill the void that’s left by many other shows going off the air.
