Blindspot season 3: Who killed Stuart? What’s next?
It really shouldn’t be all that much of a surprise to anyone that Hirst is the responsible party for what happened, given that the character has been the subject of all sorts of discussion among the team for the past few weeks. Nonetheless this reveal does raise the stakes and will be the cause even more trouble in the weeks ahead. For a little more news on that, just take a look at what executive producer Martin Gero had to say to Entertainment Weekly:
“The team is in imminent and immense danger … Hirst is maybe one of the most deadly opponents they’ve ever encountered because she controls the very place where they work: She runs the FBI. So they’re going to have to be very cunning and smart to navigate around her influence. Hirst is going to try and take them down while they’re trying to take down Hirst. The fall finale is one of my favorite Blindspot episodes of all time. You’re not gonna wanna miss it. Oh, and have I mentioned the massive twist at the end yet?”
Basically, what you will see in the fall finale is going to be one of the most insane episodes of television that we’ve had a chance to see. We’re also facing the Blindspot team in one of their biggest underdog scenarios we’ve seen to date. It’s one thing when they are battling foreign entities with the help of the FBI. It’s another thing altogether when they have to battle the Bureau itself. This twist is what should leave everyone on edge both moving into this episode and possibly beyond. There is no guarantee, after all, that Hirst is going to be gone on the other side of the upcoming episode. She could find a way to last still for a while.
