Chicago Fire season 6 episode 7 photo: Brettonio is back!
The photos above and below are some of your first looks at the return of Jon Seda to the series as Antonio Dawson. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see him back when you think about the context for a moment. At the end of the recent Chicago Fire fall finale we had a chance to see a medical emergency for Antonio’s father Ramon. Even though the two have been estranged, it obviously makes some sense that he would come back into his father’s orbit to check up on him. In turn, it also makes sense that he would run into his ex Sylvie. Brett’s job (by extension) connects her to Ramon, which in turn connects her to both Gabby and also Antonio.
What will the reunion be like for Brettonio when they are back together? All indications suggest that there will be some passion — but will it last? We’d like to hope so, but there are some clear challenges ahead. For one, we’re talking about two characters who are technically a part of different shows and don’t get a chance to spend a whole lot of time together as a result of that. Also, Antonio’s ex proved to be a challenge for the two in the past. A lot has happened since then though, and we know that Brettonio has the support of the majority of the One Chicago community. It wasn’t altogether clear what the response to the two of them being together was going to be leading into their first attempt at a relationship, but at this point we know and it’s more than positive. People love them (as does CarterMatt) — they come from different walks of life, but share a similar passion for what they do. They relate to each other in ways that you wouldn’t quite anticipate.
