Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 12 return date for Alex O’Loughlin, cast
The good news here is that compared to some holiday hiatuses, only having to wait until January 5 to see what’s next isn’t all that bad! The Alex O’Loughlin series is going to be returning with an episode that will feature a desperate search for a criminal. Not only that, but it could also feature Ian Anthony Dale in a very significant way since he returned to the show as a regular earlier this season.
CarterMatt has more for you courtesy of the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 12 synopsis below:
“Ka hopu nui ‘ana”– When an FBI agent who was cracking down on organized crime is killed, McGarrett rounds up every gang-related criminal on the island to find the culprit. Also, McGarrett tasks Adam with forming a new division within Five-0 to take on organized crime, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Jan. 5 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
(“Ka hopu nui ‘ana” is Hawaiian for “The Round Up”)
If there was a perfect way to use Adam within the confines of this show we’ve got a feeling that this is probably going to be it. This is a very specific area of fighting crime that falls within his area of expertise, and it ensures that he will also be able to be involved in most of the upcoming episodes that we see. The last thing that we would want is for him to become an afterthought or just around so that we get an update or two on Kono.
We’re presuming that Dale will be staying put for a big chunk of season 8, even though we figure that at some point he’ll have to go off to film season 2 of Salvation. Given that they’re both CBS shows from executive producer Peter Lenkov, everything will probably be worked out in the easiest way possible for him to do both shows. Let’s just enjoy having Adam around for however long we can get him.

Season 8 has been FANTASTIC! I think the December 15th episodes were the best ever and I don’t miss Kono or Chin the way I THOUGHT I would. I miss them but Tani and Junior have gracefully, and seemlessly, taken over their spots and refreshed the show. It’s been my favorite show since the first episode (next month I’m even going on my third vacation to Hilton Hawaiian Village in 3-1/2 years because of the show!!) and I pray we get another few seasons!!
