Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 spoilers: Halstead puts it all on the line

Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 is coming your way on Wednesday, January 3 and there is already one thing that is clear about it: Jay Halstead is risking a lot. The past couple of episodes have featured him going in hard on having a double life. He’s found a way to experience something that brings him back to a different time and rather than doing the right thing and ignoring it, he’s instead embracing it. He’s run into Camila’s arms (metaphorically) and created a relationship that is not even remotely authentic.

We knew that this was going to cause some problems for Jay eventually and we’re just about at the point that it is. Below, the Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 synopsis gives you a little more insight into what we are talking about:

01/03/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : HALSTEAD PUTS HIS CREDIBILITY AND CAREER ON THE LINE TO HELP SOLVE A CASE WITH TIES TO HIS NEW GIRLFRIEND. Halstead’s (Jesse Lee Soffer) partying with Camila (guest star Anabelle Acosta) unintentionally puts him in the middle of a drug-related homicide. He’s forced to choose between loyalty to his unit and his girl. Meanwhile, Voight (Jason Beghe) finally discovers the mole in his unit. Also starring Jon Seda, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton and Tracy Spiridakos. Guest starring Mykelti Williamson, Celeste M. Cooper and Johnny Ferro.

What’s interesting about this, other than the clear opportunity for Jesse Lee Soffer to give an incredible performance, is that NBC is being as mum as they are in regards to what is coming with Ruzek and Voight. The confrontation between the two men was what set up the end of season 5A and the winter premiere should pick up almost immediately after the big cliffhanger.

Given that Williamson is listed as a part of the guest cast for this episode, one thing is absolutely clear here: There’s some more trouble coming with Denny Woods. He is not going to just lay down and die when it comes to getting what he wants and stopping Voight/Intelligence once and for all.
