NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 10 video: Sam, Callen pick through the rubble
In the first sneak preview below courtesy of the network, you can see Sam and Callen doing everything they can in order to piece together what happened to cause an explosion at a local bar. There’s not a lot of explicit evidence as to what happened but there is plenty of rubble. Whoever decided to blow the place up had some very-powerful grenades — ones effective enough in order to ensure that evidence wouldn’t be traced back to them.
Basically, it’s clear upon immediately looking at the scene of the crime that Sam/Callen are not looking for any ordinary criminal. This is someone who is smart, professional, and knew what they were doing the moment that they came close to the bar with their arsenal. Consider this the foundation to the case, one that could be one of the most dangerous ones that the team comes across this season.
The one thing Sam/Callen still have going for them is this: Experience. It’s hard to imagine that any established criminal out there has more experience kicking butt and taking names than they do.

As for the second sneak peek, we’ve got a little more of a sense as to Eric and Kensi’s role in the case. They’ve uncovered that the suspect at the center of this case is a notorious female assassin, but finding her is no easy task. This is an assassin who is desperate to get revenge for her father’s death, and with that it goes without saying that she’s going to be more than capable of ensuring in advance that she cannot be traced through any security footage.
While Beale and Kensi may be somewhat befuddled at the moment, that’s not going to last — we also like the fact that Eric stress-eats sugar just because it’s probably what we would do in this situation, as well. This is also just fun for the sake of seeing different character combinations and pairings — as much as we like Eric and Nell working together, it’s fun to mix things up here and there.
