Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 4 preview: Why is the team in space?

Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 4 is airing on ABC in one week’s time, and the title for it is “A Life Earned.” What’s the whole purpose of the story? Think in terms of giving us a little more insight, finally, as to what the crew in space wants with Phil Coulson and the rest of the SHIELD team there. While we’ve come to learn a number of things about the new world that the group find themselves in, at the same time there are still some mysteries that are to be unlocked — and characters we’re waiting to see again.

Below, CarterMatt has for you the full Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 4 synopsis for some additional insight into what’s coming:

Coulson and the team discover what their captors’ true intentions are; and in space, escape is not an option.

Obvious, Coulson and company have seen their fair share of dangerous positions before, and we’ve got a feeling that they are going to be in yet another one here. The unfortunate issue the team is probably facing here is that it seems like this whole move to space is a lot of work for just four episodes — we have a feeling that this arc is going to last a little while longer and there will be some other big reveals coming. We do think the whole team, including Fitz, will be reunited eventually — but that’s just our hope. We’ll just have to see if that comes to fruition in due time.

For those who are curious Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 4 is not the final episode of the year — there is going to be another one coming onto CBS on December 22. That helps to compensate for the late start due to Inhumans eating up the first part of the fall.

As for the promo below, you’re going to get a good sense as to just what SHIELD needs to do in order to uncover the secrets of the future — it may revolve a lot of kicking butt and taking names.
