Blue Bloods season 8 episode 11 return date for Donnie Wahlberg, cast
Unfortunately, the sad reality that CarterMatt has to report right now is that this week’s episode “Heavy is the Hand” is the final episode of 2017. The next new episode, according to the Futon Critic, is going to air on CBS Friday, January 5. While that is not officially confirmed as of yet by the network, that is the date that makes the most sense. The network is set to overhaul the entirety of their schedule during the February sweeps in order to avoid Winter Olympics competition (no one wants to go up against that). Therefore, we would say to expect new episodes of Blue Bloods, (plus many of your other favorite CBS shows) throughout the month of January. After that, there will be a hiatus in February and new episodes will come your way again in March.
With a show like Blue Bloods there’s a good chance that you will see many interesting things play out when it comes back on the air, including the development of Jamie and Eddie as a partnership, watching Danny Reagan evolve in his new life as a single father, and seeing if Frank can eventually form a better relationship with Mayor Dutton after many weeks of conflict.
If we had it our way we’d see Jamie and Eddie progress more into a full blown relationship, just as we’d love to see something romantic happen for Frank given that he does deserve to find a little bit of happiness for himself outside of his job. It’s a little too early for Danny to love again, but it would be fun to see more of his adventures as a dad trying to get used to doing all of the things that Linda used to help him achieve. We know that Danny is a loving father, and by extension he’ll probably figure out how to make things work.
One way or another, we know Blue Bloods is a compelling show and there could be interesting drama ahead.
What do you want to see on Blue Bloods season 8 episode 11, whenever it returns to the air?

They need to stop with the weaving left-leaning politics into every other episode. It’s so obvious… and annoying. People look forward to entertainment and nice escape after a long hard week… not to be preached at.
First they got rid of Jennifer Espinosa, not that Marisa Ramirez hasn’t worked her way into our hearts, but then they kill off Amy Carlson? Are you kidding me? …and why haven’t they brought Nicholas Turturro back? Granted, Steve Schirripa and Robert Clohessy are great, but they’ve really emasculated Gregory Jbara into a petty, pedantic, diminutive fussbudget, and seriously – Lorraine Bracco is a terribly annoying mayor. What’s that all about?
No really, I have loved this show since it came out, it just seems like for some crazy reason, this season especially, Leonard Goldberg is letting it all gradually go to seed. I am sure they have received more than a little guff from all these anti-police social-justice-warriors lately, but please, do not let them sabotage one of the best television shows to come along in 30 years!
Really hoping the show comes back like gangbusters in 2018.
