Melissa McCarthy as Elmo, Is Baker leaving Blue Bloods? S.W.A.T car scenes
On Friday night viewers are going to see some of their favorite characters wrap up the fall story lines. The holidays are quickly approaching and with so many merry moments (and lots of football) there are a couple of mid-season finales and fall finales.
One of the most talked about cliffhangers on TV Friday has to be Jane The Virgin. Fans have been on the edge of their seats for weeks. With a break slated over the holidays, big action is expected tonight on the CW hit show.
Melissa McCarthy can wear anything
Melissa McCarthy can pull off any outfit. The popular movie star guest hosted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday night with amazing grace and ease. Hilarious and outrageous, the best part of the night was the way she continued to make viewers laugh. Her Elmo costume at the beginning of the show was funny. She didn’t stop there. She showed up as a Christmas tree, a Menorah, a gingerbread woman and a candy cane. The best costume? That is impossible to decide upon. She looked good in them all and offered up a festive moment on the show.
Is Baker leaving Blue Bloods?
If you’ve seen the teasers for Blue Bloods on Friday night, you might have noticed that it’s possible that one of Frank Reagan’s trusted colleagues might be leaving. Detective Abigail Baker (played by Abigail Hawk) isn’t a series regular on the show, but she definitely keeps the office moving and speaks her mind when needed. Is it possible that Baker will take a new job? With a previous character in Linda Reagan leaving at the beginning of the season, it’s possible another might be going too. I guess that’s why we all need to tune in to CBS to find out.
S.W.A.T. Car scenes: More action please
If you watched S.W.A.T. on CBS last night, you had to be cheering for Shemar Moore’s character, Sgt. Dan ‘Hondo’ Harrelson, while he was catching the bad guys. It was a strong episode that had an amazing buildup. Which brings me to my biggest gripe with this show: Not enough car action. Yes, I said it. The final scene of the night where the viewers see the car speed off. Then it goes to black was a serious bummer. Of course, I live in Los Angeles and quietly cheer on cops during the live news car chases (even though I recognize the danger.). Everyone knows it’s not cool to speed on the streets. Yet this is a TV series about the City of Angeles and more car action would be welcomed by the fans of S.W.A.T.
And Finally…
If you’re not feeling drama on TV tonight, you are in luck. The airing of the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year special reveals the picks for 2017. Filmed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the biggest and best of the sporting world is expected to be in attendance to see who is crowned the top honor. (Technically, the winner is already out there — but let’s not spoil the suspense!)
