The Crown season 3 premiere date hopes; new cast chatter
As for when The Crown season 3 premiere date is going to be, it’s already a fair guess to think that you will see the series return to Netflix either in late 2018 or early 2019. The only reason the wait may be longer than the one between season 2 and season 3 is because of the fact that there are so many new additions entering the fold this time around. There’s a good chance that you’ve heard some of the rumors already about Olivia Colman coming on board the show as Queen Elizabeth for the next two seasons. Meanwhile, there’s also apparently talk that Matt Smith knows who is going to be playing the new version of Philip. He confirmed as much during a recent visit to Late Night with Seth Meyers, saying that he thinks that he’s got a reasonably good idea who it is — and if he’s correct, everyone watching is going to be in for a treat.
One of the biggest things that is aiding The Crown at the moment is its international appeal. The fact that everyone knows the Royal Family, at least to some degree, makes this property an extremely valuable one all over the world. This isn’t just a show that is being crafted for an audience here in the United States. It’s also fortunate in that it’s the recipient of a number of different awards and nominations — the media and voters are generating even more publicity for the series than it may otherwise get.
All of this is great for The Crown, especially when you consider precisely how expensive the show is to make. It’s not exactly cheap to get The Crown on the air thanks to the costumes, the sets, the actors, and making sure everything is as accurate to the period as possible. It’s one of the priciest shows that Netflix has to offer.
