Supergirl season 3 episode 10 return date for Melissa Benoist, cast
Following tonight’s midseason finale, we know the anticipation for more of the Melissa Benoist series is going to be bubbling over — and for good reason! After all, this the episode that is going to be introducing the Big Bad Reign in costume for the first time, Mon-El is back in the fold, and some relationships are about to accelerate in new and unexpected ways.
Unfortunately, the Supergirl season 3 episode 10 return date is a few weeks down the road — think in terms of Monday, January 15 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. You’ll get the continuation of the Reign story then, and at least a couple more episodes to follow that throughout the month of January. Typically The CW tends to air new episodes of its original series throughout late January until late February / early March, but it remains to be seen if that is going to be the case here. The Winter Olympics are coming up in February so we wouldn’t be surprised if The CW decided to put many of its superhero shows on hiatus a little earlier than usual, and then come back after the Games to air a longer run with a shorter hiatus leading into the final episodes of the season.
No matter what the network decides, there are many exciting things coming up on Supergirl, including even more heroes, the debut of Laurie Metcalf as Winn Schott’s mother, and even more complications arising around Samantha / Reign. She’s the most difficult villain in the show’s history, largely in part because there are so many characters who are inclined to like her because of who she was prior to her transformation.
So what about beyond this season? While there’s no official news on a Supergirl season 4 just yet we’re hopeful that there will be a renewal in the spring; the ratings are lower than they’ve ever been, but it’s still outpacing enough other CW shows to likely stick around for at least another year.
