The Walking Dead season 8 episode 8 (midseason finale): ‘How It’s Gonna Be’

Walking Dead season 8 episode 8

Want to take a look at The Walking Dead season 8 episode 8, otherwise known as the midseason finale for the AMC show? We’re happy to provide that, but we’re also the first to admit that the network is not exactly supplying too much in the way of advanced information on the episode.

Here’s what we know for now: The title for the episode is “How It’s Gonna Be,” and the goal of the episode is bringing together all of the major storylines from the first seven episodes. AMC confirms as much in the episode’s official synopsis — typically we like to supply those, but the reality is that there’s nothing really to supply. Everything it says is already spelled out here. The last thing AMC is going to want to do is give away too many details about this episode in advance. There’s been such a huge build up this season to get to this point that the network knows that fans are going to tune in, because someone will probably spoil it for them if they don’t.

It’s fair to speculate that there could be a major character or death or two in the episode, but we’re personally also hoping that some more teasers to be dropped regarding the Old Man Rick plotline teased earlier on in the season.

One of the other questions left to wonder is how long the mid-season hiatus for the show is going to be this time around? While we often see The Walking Dead return with new episodes in February, we wonder if the Winter Olympics could come into play in impact that somehow. If so, we wouldn’t be shocked if the series held off either until the end of the month or early March to come back on the air with the remaining eight episodes.
