Supernatural season 13 midseason finale spoilers: Saving Mary
It’s too bad that this is not going to be anywhere near as easy as they’d hoped. Things are going to go awry, lives will be in jeopardy, and by the time we get to the closing minutes Sam and Dean are the ones who may need saving themselves. CarterMatt has the Supernatural season 13 midseason finale synopsis below with more analysis:
Jack (Alexander Calvert), desperate to prove to Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he is good and that he can control his powers, enlists the help of a dreamcatcher named Kaia (guest star Yadira Guevara-Prip) to help him find Mary Winchester (guest star Samantha Smith) and save her from the alternate universe. However, when plans go awry, the Winchester brothers are the ones who need saving. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Robert Berens (#1309). Original airdate 12/7/2017.
The Supernatural season 13 midseason finale promo below gives you a little bit more news regarding how desperate the brothers are, but we don’t think that it gives all that much away. Personally, we foresee the problem being Jack in the search for Mary … but not in the way that you’d expect. What if he tries to do something good and it ends up turning south? We can’t overstate how inexperienced this man is! He’s still learning the ropes and he’s being thrown into situations where all of the pressure of the world is on him. That’s what makes his presence on season 13 interesting — it throws the show back slightly to when the brothers themselves didn’t have the skill set that they do now. They have become very proficient at what they do, but it’s been a gradual process — not something that they picked up and were able to do immediately.
Given that Supernatural loves cliffhangers, you better go ahead and expect one of those at the end of all this!
