What is the Victoria season 2 US premiere date going to be? It’s a question that we’ve received on a number of different occasions and now CarterMatt is to have an answer for you!

Sunday, January 14 is when you can see the beginning of the entire second season of the Jenna Coleman series, and it’s a great season given that there is so much drama. You’ll see Victoria experience being a young mother, her trying to figure out peace in her marriage, and also try to navigate some of the early years of her reign on the throne. There are many key decisions that she makes during the early days of her rule that will define the rest of it.

The dazzling series that gives Queen Victoria a whole new image returns for a second season. Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) is the feisty rookie monarch, asserting her rule over the most powerful nation on the planet, and Tom Hughes (Dancing on the Edge) is her smoldering consort Prince Albert. Dame Diana Rigg (Game of Thrones) joins the acting ensemble and Nell Hudson (Outlander) is back as the queen’s personal dresser, Mrs. Skerrett– along with a palace full of schemers and luminaries. The drama all takes place against the backdrop of the early years of the Industrial Revolution, when society was changing as fast as the queen’s growing family.

Just in case you are the extremely impatient type and want to get some more news pertaining to Victoria sooner rather than later, know this: You’re going to get that very opportunity coming in the near future. This Sunday at 10:00 p.m. Eastern there is a preview special coming that will offer up a chance to get an advance look at what is coming up coupled with some reminders of the entire story to date. This is one of the most successful PBS Masterpiece series, and with that it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the network is going all-out to promote it in advance.
